Classic Tour

Enjoy a guided tour of the splendour of Dubrovnik's UNESCO-protected Old City. As its name suggests, this popular tour focuses on the must-see parts of the Old Town, while your professional guide provides fascinating and entertaining details, background and anecdotes to help enhance your experience.

This tour covers a number of cultural and historial landmarks including the Rector's Palace, the Franciscan Monastery and the Cathedral.

The first stop takes in the Palace and its Museum, which offers the opportunity to view artwork, icons, authentic period costumes and other artefacts that take visitors back to the last decade of the Republic of Dubrovnik.

The next leg of the tour, the Franciscan Monastery, is a perfect example of Dubrovnik's unique architecture. Built in the Romanesque-Gothic style, the Monastery is a true masterpiece, housing one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe and its own museum, which displays priceless objects from Dubrovnik's historic and cultural past.

The tour then moves on to the Old City's Romanesque-Baroque Cathedral, providing visitors with a chance to understand this landmark's history as it lived through earthquakes and reconstruction under the watchful eye of various architects, to becoming the home for many important paintings and other works of art.

All in all, the classic tour is your perfect snapshot of the main attractions of the Old Town, giving a real taste of Dubrovnik's delights.

The Old Jewish Quarter

Dubrovnik boasts a rich Jewish heritage and is still home to one of the oldest synagogues in Europe, making it an essential visit for those interested in how the Jewish people helped influence this part of the world. This unique walking tour provides a fascinating insight into the many ups and downs of Jewish life in Dubrovnik from the time of the Republic to today.

Jewish people first arrived in Dubrovnik in the 15th Century and made an important contribution to the Republic's Golden Age. A strong community emerged, establishing successful trade and commerce, and playing an important role in shaping both the economic and cultural development of the city. Sadly, political upheaval, war and economic instability was to disrupt this thriving community. However, the Dubrovnik Jewish population has continued to overcome these obstacles, whilst always taking pride in its heritage.

This guided walk covers Onofrio's Fountain, the main street of Stradun and of course Zudioska Ulica (Jewish Street), where the Jewish ghetto once was, making this an emotive journey into the past. Here you will also visit the famous Synagogue, which was first constructed in the 15th Century and, of course, is still in use today.

City Walls, Hidden Gems

This unique tour is a twin package - an exploration of parts of the Old Town not seen by most visitors to Dubrovnik that also includes a walk along the most interesting section of the outer walls.

The southern part of the city is off the usual tour routes, but we invite you to discover its hidden treasures, such as:

The open market. Local merchants offer fruit, vegetables, cheese, home-made brandy, olive oil – all the Mediterranean smells and flavours of Dubrovnik combined with its timeless trading customs.

The Church of St. Ignatius. One of the greatest examples of Baroque architecture in the city.

A walk through the intricate, narrow streets of the Southern Quarter then takes you deep into the oldest part of the city, streets that have produced some of Dubrovnik's most prominent poets, composers, scientists and statesmen.

One of the last stops is the “Rupe Granary” Museum, which will leave you with a strong impression of the lifestyle of Dubrovnik’s people through the centuries.

The tour finishes with the wall walk, a chance to get an overview of this fascinating quarter of the town and to savour the parts of the city you have explored from a different perspective.

Please note, this tour is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the numerous steps and distance covered.
